David Wolfe Raw Foods List

Raw Foods List

Are you looking for a raw foods list?

What are raw foods? You might have heard the term raw foodism.

It actually describes a lifestyle and diet consisting of uncooked, unprocessed and very often organic whole foods as the dominant portion.

The reason why many turn to raw foodism is because of the incredible energy, vitality, and connection to yourself, the Earth, and the Universe you get by eating this way.

From the science of raw food, we understand the logic that cooking can actually destroy nutrition and turn helpful supplements and chemicals in foods into free radicals that harm our bodies.

Raw food lists like this are here to show you that by eating based on a raw foods list, you can lose weight, prevent and even heal their bodies of chronic diseases and illnesses.

Raw Foods List

Raw foods can include raw fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables, sprouts, superfoods (such as raw chocolate (raw cacao), goji berries, maca, spirulina and other blue-green algaes, tree saps (such as maple sap), roots, bee pollens, etc.

Many of these raw vegan foods are listed in David Wolfe’s book The Sunfood Diet Success System, and his latest book Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future.

A pure raw vegan diet consists purely of these above-listed foods, while many people do opt to have only 50-80% of their diet consist of raw and living foods.  Experiment and see what works for you!

Sunfood Nutrition

The following is a raw foods list from which you can choose foods that really resonate with you:

1. Fresh fruits and vegetables.  Green leafy vegetables should be emphasized here, as they are some of the most important vegetables you can eat.  Try new fruits from all over the world, as you can: goji berries, mangosteen, berries of all kinds, noni fruit, durian–these are all amazing options for you to try!

2. Fresh sprouts.  Make them yourself in your own windowsill!  High in enzymes and life-force.  Great on salads, or juiced.  Proven to be totally rejuvenative if you’re feeling sluggish.

3. Nuts and seeds. Brazil nuts, almonds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds. Try them all!  Seek out raw and organic varieties

4. Sun dried fruits. The reason why you should go for “sun dried” fruits is because they are processed under 118 degrees, the acceptable temperature to a raw foodist. Most dried fruits undergo heat processing of over 200 degrees!

5. Olives.  Raw olives are great but hard to find. As an alternative, go for sun dried raw olives.
If they are not preserved with salt, it is better.  The olives linked here are totally raw, uncured, tree-ripened, and un-brined.  Awesome!

7. Agave syrup, yacon root syrup, or raw organic honey as a natural sweetener.  If you haven’t tried yacon root syrup yet, check it out.  It’s ever better than agave if you have any sugar issues, and it’s thick and tasty!

8. Dried spices and herbs for flavoring. These are considered raw and good to go in “cooking” your food.

9. Cacao butter: This is what gives us white chocolate, because it IS white chocolate. Being an organic and raw food, it does not mean it doesn’t taste good. On the contrary, you can add this into your desert, smoothie, or ice cream and it tastes heavenly.

10. Goji berries and goji berry extracts. Goji berry extract in powder form is easier to find and prepare with your beverages and juices. They are rich in amino acids and boost immunity, and are a complete protein source.

11. Other “superfoods“: such as spirulina, blue-green algae, medicinal mushrooms, aloe vera, raw cacao beans. Click on these links to discover some of the most powerful healing foods ever!
